Analysis on the Feasibility of Unmanned Electric Locomotives Driving Technology in a Copper Mine
Taking a large-scale copper-sulfur underground mine in China as an example,in response to the existing problems such as large transport volume,a lot of loading points, long transport routes, and low automation of transport equipment in the mine, the paper discusses the feasibility of applying unmanned electric locomotives driving technology to the deep mine expansion project in detail in combination with the development&transportation system, production scale, layout of level drifts, and loading modes of ores/waste rocks in the deep expansion design proposal. The research results show that the application of unmanned electric locomotive driving technology can significantly improve the level transportation efficiency and the underground intrinsic safety level by optimizing and adjusting key parameters such as the height of the deep levels, design of the ore pass, loading mode, and level transportation paths,so as to achieve the effect of reducing the number of personnel, improving the quality, reducing the costs, and increasing the efficiency.
