Practice and analysis on General Layout Design of a Copper-cobalt Mine Project in D.R.Congo
Taking a copper-cobalt and oxidized mine project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo(DRC)as an example, the overall layout plan of the second phase oxide project was expounded, including site selection, layout and vertical design, road transportation and other aspects. The general layout design of the project is based on the principle of adapting measures to local conditions, using the terrain height difference to optimize the process, reducing transportation costs, and optimizing the drainage capacity of the site,so as to achieve compact and reasonable functional partitions, coherent and clear vertical design, smooth and efficient road transportation. The specific situation and characteristics of internal and external transportation were analyzed, especially the transportation distance and transportation volume of ore and waste rock. The road structure and reconstruction and expansion were explained.According to the analysis, the overall design of large-scale non-ferrous mines should be based on local policies and the needs of clients for site selection.Scientific and reasonable one-time planning and phased construction of industrial sites shall be carried out.
