Renovation and Application of Sewage Plant Based on Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor Process
Based on the renovation project of a certain sewage treatment plant, the paper discusses the effectiveness of the Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor(MBBR)process in practical application. In response to the problems faced by the plant, such as water quality fluctuations, equipment aging, and insufficient treatment capacity,a in-situ renovation strategy was proposed in the study. The sewage treatment plant was upgraded and renovated by replacing the fine grille, adopting the AAO+MBBR process, and optimizing the design parameters of the main structures.Among them, the MBBR process significantly improved the system's ability to withstand impact loads and processing efficiency by adding suspended carriers and utilizing biofilm on the carrier surface to enhance biochemical treatment. After the renovation, the quality of water treated from the sewage treatment plant meets the class-1 A standard, and the land area and operating costs are effectively controlled.
