Characterization of single-sand architecture of braided river delta front of enping depression in Pearl River Mouth Basin
The braided river delta front reservoir is the main development object of the oilfield in the Pearl River Mouth Basin.Limited by the lack of basic data of offshore oilfields, the reservoir architecture research of the Pearl River Mouth Basin reaches the level of compound sand body by now,With the increase of development, single sand body becomes an important control of remaining oil distribution, and further research is necessary. For this reason, taking the braided river delta reservior of A oilfield of Enping Depression in Pearl River Mouth Basin as an example, the characterization of single sand body grade and the internal single sand body grade architecture was carried out.The study shows that, there are 8 vertical superimposed styles and 3 planar superimposed styles of single sand bodies developed in the research area, the identification of single sand body level architecture boundar-ies was achieved through the fine characterization of sedimentary microfacies and interlayer spatial distribution. There are three types of single body architecture models:river controlled paralleled-provenance channel associa-tion,river controlled paralleled-provenance diversion bar and wave controlled vertical-provenance coastal bar.The upper interlayer of river controlled paralleled-provenance channel association is nearly horizontal, with large width, good continuity and high vertical density. In the reservoir architecture mode of the river controlled paralleled-provenance diversion bar and wave controlled vertical-provenance coastal bar,the interlayer features are more in the lower part and less in the upper part, which is coarse above and fine below lithology. The architecture model of single sand body level can accurately depict the structure, improve the accuracy of predicting remaining oil by reservior numerical simulation and achieved good application results in tapping the potential of remaining oil in oilfields.
