The study area is located in the PaleoProterozoic Baoule-Mossi domain in the southern part of the West African Craton, which is the most important gold deposit area in West Africa.Based on systematic statistical analysis of geochemical parameters such As the content, concentration ratio and coefficient of variation of the seven elements Au,Ag,As,Cu,Pb,Co and Cr in the soil of the study area,it is concluded that Au is the main metal-logenic element in the area with high concentration ratio and high coefficient of variation, and As has a high concentration ratio and coefficient of variation. In addition, the anomaly range partially coincides with the anomaly range of Au,which is the indicator element of Au.The measurement area is 5 km2,the sampling network is 800 m×200 m,and a total of 594 samples are collected. On the basis of soil geochemical survey anomalies, geological characteristics and regional metallogenic geological background in the study area, six gold prospecting targets of Au-Ⅰ,Au-Ⅱ,Au-Ⅲ,Au-Ⅳ,Au-Ⅴ and Au-Ⅵ have been delineated, and concealed gold ore bodies have been found in the Au-Ⅰ target area through drilling engineering verification.By comparing the geological conditions of the target area and the metallogenic geological conditions of the gold deposit found in the area,it is inferred that the target area has great prospecting potential.
