Paleozoic mineralization and characteristics of mainland China
The Paleozoic is one of the important mineralization periods in mainland China. In terms of spatial distribution, minerals such as phosphorus, manganese, aluminum, coal, barite and diamond are mainly distributed in stable platform areas such as North China and the Yangtze, while rare earth, marble, wollastonite, mica, crystal, fluorite, copper, molybdenum, lithium beryllium and gold are mainly distributed in Tianshan-Xingmeng orogenic system. The lead-zinc minerals are distributed in the Qinling arc basin system and the Wuyi-Yunkai orogenic system. Oil and gas are mainly distributed in Tarim and North China continental Block sedimentary basins, and shale gas is mainly distributed in the Yangtze continental Block sedimentary basin. The entire Paleozoic was dominated by sedimentary mineralization, and magmatic mineralization increased in the late Paleozoic. Based on the comprehensive collection and study of previous data, guided by the theory of plate tecton-ics and mantle plumes, and from the perspective of activity theory, the Paleozoic geological structural units were divided, the main types of mineralization in the Paleozoic in China were discussed, and the Paleozoic in mainland China was further improved mineralization rules.
