Stability analysis and influencing factors of an open-pit high steep mine slope in western region
Mine resources are rich in the western region and geological conditions are complex,so the problem of slope stability analysis in this region has attracted much attention. In this paper, the slope of an open-pit metal mine in western China is taken as the research object.According to the engineering geological conditions such as slope form, formation lithology, structure, hydrology and beauty degree, the slope is divided into 3 zones, and 1~2 representative sections are selected for each zone.On the basis of field investigation, the slope stability analysis is carried out by means of laboratory test and numerical simulation. The necessary rock physical and mechanical tests are carried out for the four main lithologies in the mining area. The Hoek-Brown strength reduction method is used to calculate the shear strength parameters of the rock mass. The seepage field under the action of groundwater in mining area is analyzed, and two different limit equilibrium analysis methods are used to calculate the stability of slope. The results show that the calculated safety factors under three different working conditions meet the requirements of the code.
