This article explores the motives and paths of Vietnam's accession to deep regional trade agreements(DRTAs),and their impact on export trade.Research has shown that,firstly,the conclusion of a DRTAs can signifi-cantly increase Vietnam's trade volume with trading partners,that is,the agreement has a significant boosting effect on Vietnam's exports;Secondly,through heterogeneity analysis,it was found that the export trade effect of improving the quality of DRTAs varies for different types of export trade products;Thirdly,the export of technology intensive prod-ucts is most affected by the quality improvement of DRTAs,followed by labor-intensive products.In addition,it was found that joining a DRTAs can affect Vietnam's exports by affecting trade costs and the business environment.
