Digital Transformation and the Upgrading of Global Value Chains for China's Manufacturing Enterprises:An Empirical Study from the Perspective of Digital Mergers and Acquisitions
Based on digital merger and acquisition data from China's manufacturing listed companies from 2007 to 2021,utilizing a difference-in-difference model,explores the impact and mechanisms of digital mergers and acquisi-tions on the global value chain position of enterprises.The research findings indicate that digital mergers and acquisi-tions can significantly elevate the position of manufacturing enterprises in the global value chain.The test results of theoretical mechanisms suggest that digital mergers and acquisitions positively influence the global value chain division of labor for enterprises by mechanisms such as improving productivity,enhancing research and development innovation capabilities,increasing market influence,and optimizing human capital structure.
