The Deconstructions of Three Powers of the United States in Shaping the Global Supply Chain and Their Experiences and Lessons for China
The global supply chain system dominated by the financial capital group is inevitably built on the basis of inequality. It is the key to the profit of the financial capital group and even more so to the maintenance of the United States'hegemony, which is doomed to be unsustainable. The United States has used state power to shape the global supply chain in line with the interests of the financial capital group, which makes the supply chain shaping go beyond the economic domain, showing the integrated role of hard power, soft power and smart power and reflecting the mutual embedding of politics and economy. The article deconstructs the three powers based on the game perspectives of"currency-geopolitics","ideology-international discourse"and"extraterritorial intervention-'dena-tionalisation'".The findings suggest that,on the one hand,it is worthwhile to take stock of some of the ways in which the United States has successfully shaped and sustained GSCs in line with its interests;on the other hand,it is important to draw lessons from the United States'hegemonically oriented global supply chain system and the problems it has exposed.
