The Promoting Effect of Belt and Road Investment on the Peace and Well-being of the Host Countries
This paper uses the difference-in-difference method to investigate the impact of Belt and Road investment on the internal peace of the host countries,and empirically finds that the Belt and Road investment plays an important role in the internal peace of the host countries.The results of the mechanism analysis show that the Belt and Road investment promotes the internal peace of the host countries by giving play to its economic and cultural effects.The peace effect of Belt and Road invest-ment is heterogeneous across countries.The results of the study show that it is the aspiration of the people to continue to expand opening up and deepen the common interests of all countries,and it is an important measure to alleviate global security concerns.
