The Impact of China's Energy Governance on the Carbon Intensity of the Belt and Road Countries
In the context of global warming, exploring the impact of China's energy gov-ernance on the carbon intensity of the Belt and Road countries holds significant practical im-portance.The research reveals that both China's internal energy governance and its participation in international energy governance contribute to reducing the carbon intensity of participating countries.Notably, the effects of China's internal new energy governance are the strongest, while international energy governance platforms such as the Center for Dialogue and Coopera-tion in Energy-related Projects between China and Central and Eastern European countries and the Belt and Road energy cooperation partnerships also demonstrate considerable carbon re-duction effects. The principles, products, and technologies associated with green low-carbon initiatives are key channels through which China's internal energy governance reduces the car-bon intensity of participating countries.Additionally,China's participation in international en-ergy governance provides a green platform for new energy treaties, new energy trade and power infrastructure cooperation, facilitating the popularization of clean energy.Furthermore, the governance effects are more pronounced in participating countries with high coordination and stability in energy governance. However, the overlapping of energy organizations may diminish the effectiveness of China's involvement in international energy governance.
