As an important part of the university curriculum system,general education elective courses play an important role in talent cultivation.But in recent years,the general education elective courses in some universities have tended to be entertaining,which has had many negative impacts on the quality of talent culti-vation.The three main factors that lead to the entertainment of general education elective courses in local uni-versities are the improper and even wrong cognition of general education,impact of entertainment culture and lack of specialized management institutions.To avoid the entertainment inclination,it is necessary to establish the concept of developing professional courses on the basis of general education courses,to counterattack the impact of entertainment culture by optimizing the selection of general education elective courses,strengthening the teaching staff construction and standardizing the assessment and evaluation of the courses,and to establish a specialized management organization for general education quickly.
