From"Underflow"to"Mainstream":New Development of the Interdisciplinary Study of Medical Social History and Ancient Chinese Literature
In the past century, the interdisciplinary study of medical social history and ancient Chinese literature has received increasing attention from scholars, gradually shifting from less attention to a hot topic of research. The reexamination and thinking of classical propositions are often a prerequisite for the study of ancient Chinese literature to start anew, and medical social history precisely opens up a path for present schol-ars to return to the historical scene of literary creation. The intervention of the perspective of medical social his-tory is enough to make many literature and propositions previously neglected become unfamiliar, which can provide researchers with fresh and diverse perspectives to enter ancient literary texts. The diversity of perspec-tives leads to the expansion of research ideas, which in turn guides us to reexamine the past determinism and simplified causal explanations. This helps researchers propose new inferences and deepen the understanding of ancient general mood of society, common practice of the scholars, classic writers and works.
