Effect of Surfactants on Thermoresponsive Property of Hyperbranched Thermoresponsive Polymers
In order to deal with the problem of producing a large amount of surfactant wastewater in the treat-ment of polluted soil in the Yellow River Delta,a hyperbranched thermosensitive polymer with hyperbranched polyethylenimide(HPEI)as the core and isobutyryl(IBAm)as the shell was prepared, and the influence law of surfactant on its cloud point was explored to provide a theoretical basis for the separation of surfactant based on the thermosensitive properties of hyperbranched thermosensitive polymers. In this study, the effects of poly-mer concentration and surfactant type and concentration on the cloud point(CP)of their aqueous solutions were investigated in detail. The results showed that the CP of its solution decreased by 16 ℃ as the polymer concentration increased from 1 mg·mL-1 to 16 mg·mL-1.Except for sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate, the interaction between HPEI-IBAm aqueous solution and different kinds of surfactants resulted in the cloud point of the solution increasing by 29~58 ℃ with the increase of surfactant concentration. In summary, different types and concentrations of surfactants can regulate the change of CP of thermoresponsive polymers, and by ex-ploring the law of their action can lay the foundation for the development of a method for separating surfactants using hyperbranched thermoresponsive polymers.
