Preparation of Phosphonate-functionalized Cellulose and Its Adsorption Enrichment Properties for Au(Ⅲ)
In order to treat the gold-containing wastewater generated from the gold smelting industry and realize its resource utilization, phosphonic acid functionalized cellulose(P-PC)was prepared by the reaction of poly-amine polyether-based methyl phosphonic acid with cellulose. The characterization was carried out using infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR)and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The results showed that P-PC was successfully prepared. The adsorption performance of Au(Ⅲ)on P-PC in solution was investigated. The experimental results showed that the adsorption of Au(Ⅲ)by P-PC conformed to the pseudo-first-order kinetic model, the pseudo-second-order kinetic model and Langmuir isothermal adsorption model. The adsorption performance of P-PC on Au(Ⅲ)was optimal when the pH was 1.0.The adsorption capacity was still 0.5 mmol·g-1 after three adsorp-tion and desorption cycles.P-PC has potential application in the adsorption of Au(Ⅲ).
