Analysis of physical and mental health of young children and their parents before and after dental general anesthesia under the modern medical mode
AIM:To analyze the physical and mental health of young children and their parents before and af-ter dental general anesthesia under the modern medical model.METHODS:A total of 90 young children treated with dental general anesthesia in the Department of Stomatology,the 960th Hospital of the People's Liberation Army from Janu-ary 2021 to January 2023 were selected as the research objects.The general information of the children and their parents,Scale of Oral Health Outcomes for 5-year-old children,Children's Fear Survey Schedule-Dental Subscale,the Parental-Caregiver Perceptions Questionnaire,and the Family Impact Scale were investigated.SPSS 22.0 statistical software was used for data analysis.RESULTS:Based on the modern medical model,the quality of life of children with severe early childhood caries was significantly improved,the fear of dental treatment was significantly reduced,the self-psychological perception of parents was good,and the family happiness was improved.CONCLUSION:Under the modern medical model,the clinical efficacy,psychological and social effects of general dental anesthesia on young children are significant,and it is beneficial to the physical and mental health development of children and their parents.Medical staff should vigor-ously carry out oral health education and work together with parents to maintain the development of children's oral health and general health.
