Research hotpots of stomatology education based on bibliometrics
AIM:To provide evidence-based basis for stomatology education,literature published in past five years were retrospectively analyzed using bibliometric method.METHODS:Literature related to stomatology education were extracted from Wan Fang,CNKI and VIP databases,with time frame set between January 1,2018 and December 31,2022.The publishment time,authors,institution,and keywords were visually analyzed by Prism,CiteSpace,and VOSview-er software.RESULTS:A total of 3 339 literature were included.There were no core authors in the research field.The co-operation between different institutions was not close and clinical science of stomatology received more attention than basic science.Research hotpots included experimental and practical teaching,evaluation of teaching methods,liberal education,ideological and political education.The research frontiers included informatization teaching and cultivation of scientific re-search capabilities.CONCLUSION:The research of stomatology education has rapidly developed in past five years.How-ever,it is necessary to enhance the cooperation and connection between research teams and pay more attention to basic sci-ence of stomatology.A comprehensive reformation of stomatology education should start from various aspects such as col-lege,curriculum,and teaching team.
