The epidemic characteristics and development strategy research of dental caries among special service convalescents
AIM:The newly revised military recuperation work regulations have adjusted the scope of special forces personnel.On the basis of the original air,sea,and nuclear-related personnel,soldiers stationed in plateaus and is-lands have been newly added.Dental caries is a common chronic,progressive and destructive disease that occurs in the hard tissue of teeth,its prevalence represents the level of dental disease prevention and treatment in a certain group.the de-partment of dental of the military rehabilitation center needs to fully understand the current status of dental caries and their oral hygiene behavior among the target population,propose strategies for the prevention and treatment of dental caries for special service personnel.METHODS:The dental caries epidemiology and oral health behavior of special forces person-nel were searched in the China Biology Medicine disc,Wanfang data and CNKI databases.The prevalence rate,DMFT,oral health behavior,oral disease and medical treatment behavior,and oral health education among soldiers of all military were compared.The search period is limited to the establishment of each database until January 25,2024.RESULTS:There are more data on the dental caries rate of special forces personnel in the Air Force and Navy,and the survey data on dental caries rate of troops stationed in plateaus is relatively limited,and there is almost no data on the dental caries rate of nucle-ar-related troops;The original oral medical service system can not meet the needs of the current military construction and development.CONCLUSION:The department of dental of the military rehabilitation center should actively participate in the construction of digital oral health support system for special forces personnel,overall management of oral health service resources,improvement of epidemiological investigation,exploration of effective education mode,optimization of dental car-ies treatment process,skilled improvement of basic operations.
