Research progress of antibacterial dental adhesives in the treatment of caries
Dental adhesives play a crucial role in connecting composite resins to dental tissues during the treatment of bacteria-related diseases such as dental caries.By incorporating antimicrobial properties into modified dental adhesives,bacterial growth at the adhesive interface can be inhibited.This review systematically evaluates and summarizes various strategies of modified dental adhesives,focusing on the application prospects of antimicrobial agents including metals and their compounds,quaternary ammonium salts,natural antimicrobial agents,antimicrobial peptides,and drug delivery systems.
