Immunomodulatory property of dental pulp stem cells and their prospects in clinical applications
Dental pulp stem cells(DPSCs)are increasingly recognized for their pivotal role in immunotherapy and clinical translation.Their exceptional immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory capabilities make them promising candidates for immunotherapeutic strategies. This review integrates recent single-cell RNA sequencing data to elucidate the mechanisms by which DPSCs modulate the immune microenvironment and ameliorate immune-related diseases.Additionally,it compiles a comprehensive list of clinical trials registered from 2016 to 2024 that utilize DPSCs for the treatment of systemic diseases, provide insights into the immunomodulatory functions of DPSCs at the single-cell level and their potential for clinical application.
