Research progress of pre-eruptive intracoronal radiolucency
Pre-eruptive intracoronal radiolucency(PEIR)is a characteristic of coronal dentine resorption in unerupted teeth with a low incidence and no subjective symptoms. It is usually found accidentally during radiography. In recent years, cases of PEIR have been reported at domestic and international, but the etiology and mechanism of PEIR are still unclear. There is no unified strategy of the treatment.Based on the review of the definition, etiology, clinical manifestations and treatment methods of PEIR in the existing literature,This study aimed to discuss the characteristics, possible etiology and treatment strategy of PEIR,in order to provide a reference for clinicians to make clinical decisions.
