The Development History of the Privately Owned Public Space and Its Implications for the Opening and Sharing of Attached Green Space in China
With the deepening of the process of urbanization and the development of urban transformation stock, the problems of insufficient supply and unbalanced distribution of public space in supercities and megacities and other densely populated urban areas have gradually come to the fore.Among them, the existing green space in the city is difficult to meet the needs of urban habitat con-struction and ecological environmental protection, and at the same time, the rising cost of green space construction due to the price of land also makes it difficult to add new public green space. For this reason,New York,London and other cities have developed the mode of"Privately Owned Public Space,POPS"to increase green space, plazas and other public space, and in recent years,China has also gradually developed from"breaking down the walls and penetrating the greenery"to the opening up of affiliated green space for sharing. In recent years,China has also gradually developed from"breaking down walls to green"to opening and sharing of attached green space in this field, but characterized by the provision of non-commercial public green space.Meanwhile, the typical cases of privately owned public space;are of great significance to the development of open and shared accessory green space in terms of design guidance, transparency enhancement, and sharing mode innovation. Therefore, this paper proposes that in the future, the open sharing of attached green space;should be promoted in three aspects:introducing the policy of publicizing pri-vate space, compiling guidelines for the design and construction of attached green space, building channels for information disclo-sure,and establishing a long-term monitoring and entry/exit mechanism,to make the opening and sharing of attached green space become an effective and innovative way of supplementing the public green space in the city, and become an important initiative to support the creation of Park City and People's City.
