Tourist Perception of Comprehensive Parks in the Central District of Guangzhou Based on Social Media Comments
Comprehensive parks are one of the critical green infrastructures in cities.Using social media review data to analyze visitors'perceived characteristics of parks and factors affecting visitors'evaluation can help provide a basis for optimizing park alloca-tion.Therefore,ten comprehensive parks in the Guangzhou city center area were used as the research object,and the visitors'perceived characteristics of the parks were analyzed by natural language processing techniques using the data from 2006-2022 on the popular review website.The study found that Zhujiang Park has the highest visitor ratings and Dongfeng Park has the lowest;the amount of visitor comments is more remarkable in spring and summer,and satisfaction is highest in spring and winter;attractions in the categories of water,plants,fitness facilities,monumental buildings,amusement facilities,and resting places are more likely to be perceived by tourists.In contrast,attractions in sculpture or popular science categories are less like-ly to be perceived.The location and transportation,admission fees,air quality,and internal facilities and activities are the main factors that visitors use to give parks a positive impression.The study analyzes the current quality of the park based on visitors'comments and provides data support for the improvement and optimization of the park.Based on the results of the study,it is recommended that measures be taken to improve the spatial quality of the park by improving the service facilities,strictly con-trolling environmental hygiene,increasing the publicity of the park's attractions,and strengthening the daily management of the park.
