Effect research of 0.5 ％ fipronil baits against Solenopsis invicta in urban green land
Objective To observe the scene prevention and control effect of 0.5 ％ fipronil baits against Solenopsis invicta in urban green land.Methods To delivery drugs according to the methods of a single ant nest.To delivery drug on a dose of 10g-15g for each ant nest,supplementary delivery drugs to the active nest which still have living ants on each observation period of time after application.Observe the killing effect of 7d、15d、30d、45d、60d and 75d.Results Killing effect of 0.5％ fipronil baits against Solenopsis invicta on the spot was good,active ant nest significantly decreased 7d after application the baits in the experiment areas,the adjusted decrease rate of active ant nests which been delivered for 15d、30d were 64.8％ and 95.1％ respectively,all the decrease rates researched 100％ after day 60,worker ants correction decrease rate was 100％,reached the control effect; no new active ant nests were found at days 75.Conclusions To use 0.5％ fipronil baits alone can fast control Solenopsis invicta in urban green land.
