Objective To understand the epidemic features of HIV/AIDS in Baiyun District,Guangzhou from 2012 and 2021,to provide a scientific basis for effective formulation of prevention and control measures.Methods Descriptive epidemiological methods were used to statistically analyze the epidemic data of Human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)infector/acquired immure deficiency syndrome(AIDS)cases(referred to as HIV/AIDS)epidemic situation data in Baiyun District,Guangzhou from 2012 to 2021.Results From 2012 to 2021,a total of 3 850 cases of HIV/AIDS were reported in Baiyun District,with an average annual reported incidence rate of 11.69/100 000 and an average annual reported mortality rate of 0.56/100 000,with an average annual growth rate of 3.49%.Cases were reported in 24 towns(sub-districts)in the district,mainly of floating population,with a proportion of 83.19%.The male-to-female ratio was 6.99:1,the proportion of reported cases in the 20~<50-year-old age group was 82.26%,and the proportion of ≥50-year-old age group increased from 9.56%in 2012 to 16.29%in 2021(x2trend=19.826,P<0.001).In 2012,compared with 2021,the proportion of sexual transmission routes increased from 79.52%to 98.50%,homosexual transmission increased,and injecting drug use decreased.The proportion of sample sources counseling and testing increased from 19.11%to 42.61%,and the physical examination of detainees decreased from 20.82%to 1.75%.The occupational proportion of commercial services and students showed an upward trend,and the differences were statistically significant(x2trend=106.960,11.310,all P<0.05).The proportion of male to male homosexual transmission among student cases was 82.17%.Conclusion The AIDS epidemic in Baiyun District is in a low epidemic situation,but the incidence rate is high,and the prevention and control situation is grim.Male to male homosexual transmission is the main route.In the future,health education and intervention should be carried out in depth for key populations,and the strategy of expanding testing should be continued.
