Objective To investigate the current situation of the professional knowledge level of foodborne disease surveillance staff in the CDC organizations in Gansu Province,and to provide a basis for further improving the working ability of foodborne disease surveillance staff and the policy formulation of related departments.Methods In June 2021,on-site centralized testing of staff for foodborne disease surveillance in 14 municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention(referred to as CDC),and 52 county(district)level CDCs in Gansu Province,and the factors influencing scores were analyzed by multivariate linear regression.Results The overall awareness rate of the questionnaire was 57.95%,and the surveillance staff had insufficient understanding of case definition,data calculation,epidemic curve,data quality control and other aspects.If the questionnaire was scored out of 10,the highest score of the questionnaire was 10.00 and the lowest was 1.78,with a mean score of(6.36±1.69),and the factors influencing the score were analyzed by multivariate linear regression,and the results showed that educational level was the main influencing factor for the knowledge score(β=0.944,P<0.05).Conclusion The professional knowledge level of foodborne disease monitoring staff in Gansu Province is at a low stage.Further strengthening the professional knowledge training of surveillance staff and continuously absorbing outstanding talents are still the key measures to improve the level of foodborne disease monitoring in the CDC organizations in Gansu Province.
