Analysis of the awareness and influencing factors of sanitation workers on household cleaning and disinfection in the prevention and control of COVID-19
Objective To understand the awareness of sanitation workers on household cleaning and disinfection in the context of the normalization of the prevention and control of COVID-19,and to explore its influencing factors.Methods A self-designed questionnaire was used to conduct an on-site survey on 981 sanitation workers in a district of Urumqi.The contents of the survey include the basic information of personnel and the awareness of the knowledge of household hygiene cleaning and disinfection.Measurement data were described by x±s and the comparison between two or more groups of quantitative data was performed by t-test.The rates of count data was compared using x2 test.Logistic regression model was used to analyze the influencing factors.Results The overall awareness rate of the study population about household hygiene,cleanliness and disinfection was 63.00％(618/981).Knowledge score of household hygiene,cleanliness and disinfection was(5.49±1.58).There was a statistically significant difference in the awareness rate of household hygiene,cleanliness and disinfection knowledge among sanitation workers(x2=784.124,P＜0.05).There were statistically significant differences in the awareness rates of household hygiene,cleanliness and disinfection knowledge among sanitation workers of different ages(x2=12.903,P=0.005)and education levels(x2=12.211,P=0.007).There were statistically significant differences in knowledge scores among sanitation workers with different gender,age and education level(tgen&r=4.128,P=0.042;tage=4.425,P=0.004;teducation=4.120,P=0.006).The results of logistic regression analysis showed that age 40 to＜50 years and 50 to＜60 years,primary school and junior high school education level were the main risk factors affecting the awareness of household hygiene,cleanliness and disinfection knowledge of sanitation workers,the odds ratio(OR)respectively 1.899,2.156,1.625,1.617.The 95％confidence intervals(CI)were 1.120-3.220,1.091-4.258,1.312-2.251,1.315-2.207,respectively.Conclusion Strengthening the knowledge promotion and implementation and behavior guidance of household sanitation and disinfection for sanitation workers is of great significance to comprehensively improve their health level.
