Objective To compare the influenza surveillance data in Yangzhou City before and after the epidemic of COVID-19,and to understand the impact of CO VID-19 epidemic prevention and control on Influenza virus prevalence. Methods The surveillance data of influenza like illness(ILI)and the percentage of influenza like illness visits(ILI%),pathogenetic data, and outbreak epidemic information were collected from three influenza surveillance sentinel hospitals in Yangzhou City from 2018 to 2019 and from 2020 to 2021.Descriptive epidemiological methods were used to analyze the data, and Chi square tests were used to compare changes in influenza prevalence before and after the epidemic of COVID-19.Results The ILI%of the 3 influenza surveillance sentinel hospitals in Yangzhou City from 2018 to 2019 and from 2020 to 2021 were 6.92%(108 278/1 565 487)and 4.29%(57 120/1 330 976),respectively,and the difference was statistically significant(x2=9 206.151,P<0.001).The overall ILI%of the 3 sentinel hospitals from 2018 to 2019 was basically higher than that from 2020 to 2021.The positive rates of ILI specimens from 2018 to 2019 and from 2020 to 2021 were 11.46%(755/6 589)and 3.52%(224/6 361),respectively,with a statistically significant difference(x2=291.755,P<0.001).Conclusion The epidemic trend of influenza changes in the situation of CO VID-19,the ILI,ILI%and the positive rates of Influenza virus detection of the three influenza surveillance sentinel hospitals will be all affected.
