Objective A negative detection case-control study was conducted to deal with a local dengue outbreak epidemic in Luoyang City in 2019,so as to provide a reference basis for the targeted development of dengue fever prevention and control measures. Methods An epidemiological investigation was conducted on the 2019 dengue fever outbreak epidemic in Y District of Luoyang City.A negative detection case-control study,Chi-square tests, and multivariate logistic regression were used to analyze epidemic risk factors.Blood samples were collected and tested for NS1 antigen of dengue virus, immunoglobulin M(IgM),and immunoglobulin G(IgG)antibody using antibodies rapid immunosera test cards.Nucleic acid was detected using PCR.The breteau index method was employed to monitor mosquito density and evaluate the comprehensive control effect. Results A total of 38 cases of dengue fever were reported in this outbreak. The predominant age group affected was 60-<70 years, accounting for 44.74%.The male-to-female ratio was 1.24∶1,and the occupation mainly farmers(50.00%).Univariate analysis of the case-control study study showed that whether or not visiting K old village(x2=36.330,P<0.05),whether or not visiting K clinic(x2=20.963,P<0.05),"prescription"or"infusion"treatment methods adopted at K clinic(x2=9.770,P<0.05),whether had land in the old village(x2=10.640,P<0.05),and whether had awareness of bitten by mosquito(x2=6.991,P<0.05)emerged as the primary influencing factors for the dengue fever epidemic.Multivariate logistic regression analysis displayed that had been visiting K old village(OR=0.053,95%CI:0.010-0.279)and had been attending K clinic(OR=0.053,95%CI:0.010-0.279)were risk factors. Conclusion During mosquito seasons, comprehensive elimination should be promptly carried out when conducting demolition work.A city-wide patriotic health campaign should be promoted during mosquito seasons to clean up mosquito breeding environments, reduce vector density, and prevent the epidemic diffusion and sprawl.
