Objective To explore the epidemiologic features of brucellosis(referred to as brucellosis)occurrence in Lianyungang City from 2018 to 2022,and to provide a scientific basis for the monitoring,prevention and control of brucellosis in Lianyungang City.Methods Descriptive epidemiological analysis method was used to statistic the incidence of brucellosis in Lianyungang City from 2018 to 2022,analyze spatial,temporal and population distribution of brucellosis,and analyze the seasonal characteristics using the concentration and circular distribution method.The data were statistically analyzed by SPSS 26.0 software,the annual trend changes were analyzed by linear trend test,and the difference between groups for count data was compared by Chi-square test.Results From 2018 to 2022,a total of 237 cases of brucellosis were reported in Lianyungang City,with no deaths,and the overall trend of incidence was on the rise(x2=16.19,P<0.05).The onset of cases mainly occurred from March to September,accounting for 69.20%(164/237).The peak date of the incidence was June 15,and the epidemic period was March 24 to September 26.Cases of brucellosis were reported in all counties and districts of the city,mainly distributed in Donghai County(157 cases).The gender ratio of male to female was 2.16:1.The age of cases was mainly concentrated in the age group of 30-<70 years old,accounting for 81.86%(194/237)of the total cases.The occupation was mainly peasants,accounting for 78.06%(185/237)of the total cases.Conclusion The incidence of brucellosis in Lianyungang City showed an upward trend,and March to September is a high incidence months of brucellosis.The key protection objects are male peasants aged 30-<70.The key prevention and control areas are Donghai County.It should strengthen health education and health monitoring for the prevention and control of brucellosis in key occupational groups in the city during the high incidence season.
