Analysis of the dynamics of IL-6,TNF-α and IL-17 in HIV-1 antibody positive cases among MSM before and after treatment
Objective To investigate the plasma expression levels of IL-6,TNF-α and IL-17 in HIV-1 antibody positive cases among men who have sex with men(MSM)and the correlation with disease progression. Methods A total of 90 HIV-1 antibody positive cases among MSM without antiretroviral therapy(ART)were collected from June 2017 to December 2019,and 30 cases of healthy medical examiners were collected as the control group.Plasma cytokines IL-6,TNF-α,and IL-17 were measured and compared between the two population groups before ART and 9 months after ART.The measurement data were described using mean±standard deviation((x)±s).Paired t-test was used to compare the data before and after treatment.One-way analysis of variance and least significant difference(LSD)t-test were used for comparison between groups.Pearson correlation was used to analyze the correlation between the indicators measured in each of the groups of infected patients and the and progression of disease. Results Before ART,the differences in the expression levels of IL-6,TNF-α and IL-17 between the HIV-1 antibody positive case in each group and the control group were statistically significant(F=25.068,35.042,37.772,P<0.05).After ART,IL-6 and TNF-α were lower than the pretreatment expression levels in the same period in different groups, and IL-17 was higher than the pretreatment expression levels in the same period. The differences were statistically significant(F=5.054,5.567,7.658,P<0.05).Correlation analysis showed that the expression levels of IL-6 and TNF-α were negatively correlated with the count levels of CD4+T-lymphocyte cell count levels and positively correlated with plasma viral load(r=-0.567,-0.590,0.661,0.620,P<0.05).The expression levels of IL-17 were positively correlated with the count levels of CD4+T-lymphocyte cell count levels and negatively correlated with plasma viral load(r=0.494,-0.426,P<0.05).Conclusion The abnormal changes of plasma IL-6,TNF-α and IL-17 expression are observed in HIV-1 infected individuals among MSM.The abnormal expression is closely related to the body's immune function and disease progression.
