Monitoring and analysis of Rubella virus antibody levels in healthy population in Hebei Province from 2015 to 2021
Objective To analyze the distribution of Rubella virus immunoglobulin G(IgG)levels in healthy population in Hebei Province from 2015 to 2021,providing a scientific basis for the prevention and control measure of rubella. Methods From 2015 to 2021,serum samples from healthy individuals were collected using stratified random sampling.Rubella virus IgG levels were measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results The overall Rubella virus IgG positivity rate of healthy population from 2015 to 2021 was 75.29%(3 062/4 067),geometric mean concentration(GMC)of Rubella virus antibody was 32.66IU/ml.From 2015 to 2019,the positivity rate of Rubella virus IgG were statistically significant among different areas in healthy population in Hebei Province(x2=44.88,P<0.05).Qinhuangdao showing higher positivity rate and GMC of Rubella virus IgG in healthy population. From 2020 to 2021,the positivity rates across different areas of Hebei were generally low.The positivity rate of Rubella virus IgG in healthy population in Hebei Province showed a decreasing trend from 2015 to 2019 and the positivity rate of Rubella virus IgG in healthy population was lower in 2020-2021 compared to 2015-2019(x2=20.18,P<0.05).From 2015 to 2019,the IgG positivity rates of Rubella virus and GMC were both lower in the 0-<1 year and 7-<15 years age groups,at 63.09%(229/363)and 68.04%(381/560)with GMC of 21.14IU/ml and 22.89IU/ml,respectively.In 2020-2021,the IgG positivity rates of Rubella virus and GMC were both lower in the 0-<1 year,7-<15 years, and 15-<20 years age groups,at 57.14%(92/161),55.98%(103/184),and 53.46%(85/159)with GMC of 21.57IU/ml,20.26IU/ml,and 22.95IU/ml,respectively.There was a rebound in IgG positivity rates and GMC in the ≥20 years age group. Conclusion The Rubella virus antibody levels in the healthy population of Hebei Province need further improvement.Individuals in the 0-<1 year,7-<15 years, and 15-<20 years age groups are at higher risk for rubella infection.
