Epidemiological analysis of gonorrhea in Shijiazhuang City from 2016 to 2022
Objective To analyze the epidemiologic features of gonorrhea in Shijiazhuang City from 2016 to 2022,to evaluate the effect of the current prevention and control efforts,and to provide a scientific basis for improving the prevention and control strategy of gonorrhea.Methods The surveillance data of gonorrhea reported in the China Disease Prevention and Control Information System in Shijiazhuang City were collected.SPSS 26.0 was used for epidemiological analysis,and the classification variables were described using occupancy ratios.x2 test was used to compare the rates and analyze the epidemic trends.Results From 2016 to 2022,a total of 1 047 cases of gonorrhea were reported in Shijiazhuang City,with an overall decreasing trend in reported incidence rate(x2trend=98.54,P<0.05).Gonorrhea incidence was reported in all counties and districts,with higher numbers of cases and incidence rates in Jinzhou City,Xinhua District and Chang'an District.The incidence rate of gonorrhea in males was significantly higher than that in females(x2=19.75,P<0.05),and the sex ratio of male to female was 7.12:1.The high incidence of gonorrhea was mainly concentrated in the age group of 20-<35 years(620 cases,accounting for 59.22%),with two cases in the age group of 0-<15 years.The occupational distribution was mainly composed of farmers(37.34%),followed by household chores and unemployment(21.59%).Students only accounted for 4.30%,with cases reported every year.Conclusion The reported incidence rate of gonorrhea in Shijiazhuang City from 2016 to 2022 shows an overall downward trend.The prevention and control of gonorrhea should be focused on males,people aged 20-<35 years,farmers,household chore workers,unemployed people and commercial service workers,and more targeted identification of key populations for interventions to reduce the risk of transmission of sexually transmitted diseases.
