Effectiveness analysis of different teaching methods in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and AED operation training in college students
Objective To analyze the effectiveness of the training of digital code teaching method, scenario simulation teaching method, and traditional teaching method on cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR)skills and automatic external defibrillator(AED)operation among college students in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region,so as to explore effective methods for conducting CPR and AED operation training in college students. Methods From May to July 2023,150 college students from a university in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region were randomly selected as research subjects.According to the different teaching methods for CPR,they were randomly divided into three groups:the digital code teaching method group, the scenario simulation teaching methods group, and the traditional teaching method group.Levene test was used to assess the homogeneity of variance for each group. For data that conformed to a normal distribution and had homogeneity of variance, the F-test was used for inter-group comparison,if the variance was uneven,a corrected F-test was applied,Chi-square tests of RxC contingency tables and other statistical methods were used to analyze the results of the theoretical and operational exams after teaching, comparing the effectiveness of the three teaching methods. Results There was no statistically significant difference in the theoretical exam results among the digital code teaching method group, the scenario simulation teaching method group, and the traditional teaching method group(F=1.775,P=0.173).However,the operational exam results showed a statistically significant difference among the three groups(F=8.625,P<0.001).The digital code teaching method group and the scenario simulation teaching method group both performed better than the traditional teaching method group(deviation=3.640,-3.700,P<0.05).Statistically significant differences were found in the error rates of chest compression,compression/ventilation ratio, and AED operation project among the three groups(x2=10.786,12.250,8.625,P<0.05).Conclusion Digital code teaching method and scenario simulation teaching method can both effectively improve the training outcomes of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and AED operation training, significantly reducing operational error rates.
