Energy saving and emission reduction under the goal of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality is the key to highquality development of the tourism industry.At present,although many regions in China have started near zero carbon scenic spots demonstration projects,difficulties are evident with blurry concepts,a lack of criteria,opaque construction methods,and deficient policy commitments.For the construction of near zero carbon emission scenic spots,the paper proposes the major paths of formulating standardized and unified selection standards,exploring various development models in line with local conditions based on the type of scenic spots,promoting the transformation from ticket economy to carbon ticket economy through policy guidance and market incentives,and constructing green consumption scenarios to meet new tourism demands.
