There are problems of information asymmetry and lack of understanding in doctor-patient communication,and Joe Harry Window communication theory provides corresponding ideas for solving these problems.BELOC doctor-patient communication model based on Joe Harry Window communication model can promote the correct and effective transmission of doctor-patient informa-tion,enhance trust and understanding in doctor-patient communication,and improve its quality and efficiency as well.BELOC model should run through the whole process of hospitalization,and its specific measures include the expanding of information area of doctor-patient communication,the establishment of trust relationship,active listening and emotional support.
