Prediction of Cardiovascular Disease Risk in Patients with Psoriasis
Objective To investigate the risk factors for cardiovascular disease(CVD)and to predict the future risk of CVD in pa-tients with psoriasis. Methods A total of 1067 psoriasis patients(psoriasis group)and 1110 physical examiners without psoriasis(con-trol group)were included to analyze their clinical data and risk factors. Results Compared with the control group, the psoriasis group showed a stronger correlation with CVD history, body mass index, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and dyslipidaemia(P<0.01).CVD was more common in patients with a long history of psoriasis, and the incidence of severe psoriasis with diabetes was higher(P<0.01).In the prediction analysis of psoriasis, the proportion in the"medium risk"group and the"very high risk"group were significantly high-er,and the age of heart was significantly increased than their actual in the"old people"(P<0.01).The results showed that patients with psoriasis had a higher risk of CVD,and psoriasis with a long history or serious disease had a higher risk of CVD.Conclusion At-tention should be paid to the future risk of CVD in patients with psoriasis and the prevention and management of CVD complications.
