With the widespread application of cone beam computed tomography(CBCT)in the field of medical imaging,its artifact problem is increasingly attracting attention.Artifacts have a negative impact on the quality and accuracy of CBCT images,therefore seeking effective methods to eliminate or reduce them is of great significance for improving the quality of CBCT images.This article briefly introduces the working principle and common types of artifacts in CBCT.For each type of artifact,its generation mechanism and influencing factors are analyzed.At the same time,feasible methods for eliminating or reducing common artifacts in CBCT are proposed,and future research should focus on deepening the understanding of the formation mechanism of artifacts and developing more accurate and effective methods for eliminating or reducing artifacts,intended to provide reference for optimizing CBCT image quality and improving imaging diagnosis accuracy and reliability in clinical applications.
