Objective To explore the differential manifestations of CT calcification features in children with retroperitoneal neuroblastoma(NB)and ganglion neuroblastoma(GNB).Methods A retrospective collection was performed for 24 children with neuroblastoma confirmed by surgery or puncture pathology in the Jinan Eighth People's Hospital from January 2012 to December 2020 as the observation group, and 27 cases of benign GNB were selected as the control group.Comparative analysis of CT imaging characteristics between two groups of patients. Results The comparison between the two groups showed that the calcification sites in the control group were mostly eccentric, while the distribution of calcification sites in the observation group was similar(P<0.05);The control group had more microcalcifications and coarse calcifications in shape, while the observation group had more mixed calcifications in shape(P<0.05);The microcalcification density in the control group was mostly very high, while in the observation group it was slightly higher(P<0.05);The control group had clear calcification, while the observation group had mostly blurred and partially clear calcification(P<0.001).There were statistically significant difference in the maximum diameter and cross-sectional area of the tumor between the two groups of patients(P<0.05).The location, morphology, microcalcification density grading, clarity, number of calcified lesions, average calcification density, maximum diameter of the mass, and cross-sectional area of the mass were all independent influencing factors of NB(P<0.05).Conclusion CT imaging features are different between retroperitoneal neuroblastoma and gangliocytoma in children.CT imaging features play an important role in the differential diagnosis of retroperitoneal neuroblastoma and ganglion neuroblastoma in children.
