Objective To explore the application value of digital breast tomography(DBT)combined with two-dimensional(2D)synthesized mammogram(SM)in ultrasound diagnosis of breast lesions in category 3 and 4 female using the breast imaging reporting and data system(BI-RADS).Methods A retrospective analysis was performed for 100 female patients diagnosed with BI-RADS category 3 and 4 by ultrasound in Futian District Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Shenzhen from March 2023 to October 2023,all of whom underwent all-field digital mammography(FFDM)and DBT,and 2DSM,and analyzed the two images of FFDM and DBT+SM,and the two radiologists recorded the detection of different types of breast lesions, the imaging signs of the lesions and the BI-RADS classification results. Results There was significant difference in BI-RADS classification between FFDM and DBT+SM images. There was significant difference in the detection rate of mass lesions between FFDM and DBT+SM images. The accuracy, sensitivity and specificity of DBT+SM in the diagnosis of BI-RADS category 3 and 4 of breast lesions were higher than those of FFDM.A large number of structural distorted lesions were detected by DBT+SM.For calcified lesions, asymmetric dense lesions, the detection rate of related signs and the display of mass edge and calcification, there was no significant difference between the two images(P>0.05).Conclusion DBT+SM has higher diagnostic value than FFDM in the ultrasound diagnosis of BI-RADS category 3 and 4 of female breast lesions, especially in showing mass lesions and structural distortions.
