Objective To analyze the value of ultrasound elastography(UE)in diagnosing ovarian cysts. Methods A total of 80 patients with suspected ovarian cysts admitted to the Mudan District Psychiatric Hospital in Heze City from January 2022 to October 2023 were selected and all of them underwent UE examination. The diagnostic value of UE was analyzed with pathological examination results as the"gold standard".Results Among the 80 suspected ovarian cysts,58 cases were confirmed by pathology and 56 cases were detected by UE.The sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of UE were 94.83%,95.45%,95.00%,98.21%and 87.50%respectively.Kappa test showed that UE was in good agreement with gold standard(Kappa value =0.878,P<0.05).The shear wave velocity(SWV),maximum modulus of elasticity(Emax),minimum modulus of elasticity(Emin)and average modulus of elasticity(Emean)in patients with ovarian cyst were lower than those in patients without ovarian cyst(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in lesion depth and diameter between the patients with ovarian cyst and those without ovarian cyst(P>0.05).Conclusion UE can effectively diagnose ovarian cysts, with high diagnostic sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, etc. It has certain diagnostic value and can be widely applied in clinical practice.
