The application value and related index analysis of dual energy CT virtual non-calcium imaging technology in the evaluation of lumbar disc degeneration
Objective To observe the application value of dual-energy CT virtual non-calcium imaging technology in the evaluation of lumbar disc degeneration and the analysis of related indexes. Methods A total of 100 patients with lumbar disc degeneration in the Yangxin County Shangdian Town Central Health Center from January 2023 to January 2024 were selected to undergo lumbar dual-energy CT and MRI examinations. The degree of lumbar disc degeneration was evaluated and graded according to the Pfirrmann scale(PG),and the results of VNCa gray scale and color coded image of patients with different PG grades were compared. Results A total of 336 lumbar intervertebral discs were examined in 100 patients. The visual classification of VNCa in patients with different PG grades was statistically significant(P<0.05).VNCa visual classification was positively correlated with PG(r=0.703,P<0.001).On the VNCa map, there were statistically significant differences in CT values of nucleus pulposus among PG levels(P<0.05).Conclusion Dual energy CT virtual decalcification imaging technology has important clinical application significance in the evaluation of lumbar disc degeneration, which helps to more accurately evaluate and diagnose the degree of lumbar disc degeneration.
