Objective To analyze the diagnostic value of ultrasound in patients with thyroid cancer complicated with lymph node metastasis. Methods A total of 230 thyroid cancer patients admitted to our hospital from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected, and they were divided into metastatic group(n=102)and non-metastatic group(n=128)according to whether the patients had lymph node metastasis. The relevant indexes(resistance index, peak systolic flow velocity pulsatility index),lymph node ultrasound characteristics(lymph node longitudinal and transverse ratio<2,internal echo unevenness, ambiguous boundaries, microcalcifications, abundant blood flow, and chaotic blood flow signals)were compared between the two groups. Results With the gradual improvement of blood flow signal grade, the arterial systolic flow rate and arterial diastolic flow rate increased gradually, and the resistance index and pulsatility index decreased gradually, with significant difference in comparison(P<0.01).The hemodynamic related indicators and lymph node ultrasound characteristic data of patients in the metastatic group were significantly higher than those in the non-metastatic group(P<0.01).Conclusion The accuracy of ultrasound in the diagnosis of patients with thyroid cancer complicated with lymph node metastasis is relatively high, and the condition of patients can be judged according to hemodynamic indicators and lymph node ultrasound signs
