Objective To investigate the value of diffusion weighted imaging(DWI)combined with synthetic magnetic resonance imaging(syMRI)in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant breast tumors. Methods 69 breast cancer patients admitted to Guilin Medical College Affiliated Hospital from May 2020 to March 2022 were selected. All patients underwent preoperative MRI,including plain scan,DWI,and syMRI MAGiC sequences(rapid quantification of tissue T1,T2,and PD values).receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was drawn to analyze the diagnostic efficiency of apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC)and syMRI values and the combination of the two parameters in benign and malignant breast diseases. Results Among 69 patients with breast tumors,53(76.8%)were malignant and 16(23.2%)were benign.ADC values and T1 and T2 values between benign and malignant tumors(P<0.05).The area under the curve for the ROC analysis of the independent parameters ADC,T1,T2,and the combined parameters were 0.903,0.703,0.818,and 0.956,respectively.The diagnostic efficiency of the combined parameters(ADC values and T1 and T2 values)was higher than the single-parameter ADC values(P<0.05).Conclusion DWI combined with syMRI can improve the differential efficiency of benign and malignant breast tumors.
