Objective To investigate the application value of echocardiography combined with electrocardiogram(ECG)in the diagnosis of hypertensive heart disease(HHD).Methods Eighty-seven suspected HHD patients admitted to Lingcheng District People's Hospital of Dezhou City from January 2021 to December 2023 were selected to conduct a prospective study.Echocardiography and electrocardiogram were performed in all patients.Clinical comprehensive diagnosis was taken as the gold standard to analyze the detection of HHD and its diagnostic value, and Kappa test was used to verify the consistency of different diagnosis methods with the gold standard. The distribution of the disease types of the final confirmed patients was counted. Results Of the 87 suspected patients,72 cases were confirmed,of which 69 cases(95.83%)were detected by echocardiography,67 cases(93.06%)by electrocardiogram and 71 cases(98.61%)were detected by combined examination. The sensitivity and accuracy of combined echocardiography and electrocardiogram in the diagnosis of HHD were higher than that of single examination(P<0.05).Kappa test showed that the Kappa value of echocardiography and gold standard was 0.515,which was in good agreement. The Kappa value of ECG and gold standard was 0.537,which was in good agreement. The Kappa value of the joint examination was 0.882,which was in good agreement with that of the gold standard.Among the 72 patients, there were 30 cases of left ventricular hypertrophy(41.67%),22 cases of ventricular septal hypertrophy(30.56%),16 cases of myocardial ischemia(22.22%),and 4 cases of left ventricular enlargement(5.56%).Conclusion Echocardiography combined with electrocardiogram can improve the diagnostic value of HHD,facilitate the early detection of the disease, achieve targeted treatment, and improve the prognosis of patients.
