Objective To investigate the clinical application value of 128-slice spiral CT low-dose contrast agent pulmonary artery CT angiography(CTA)in pulmonary embolism(PE).Methods 69 PE patients who underwent pulmonary artery CTA examination in Guangdong Second Chinese Traditional Hospital from January to December 2023 were selected as the study objects.According to the dose of contrast agent, they were divided into the conventional group(36 cases,80 mL injection of contrast agent)and the low-dose group(33 cases,30 mL injection of contrast agent).Vascular enhancement, image quality and radiation dose of the two groups were evaluated. Results There was no significant difference in CT values of pulmonary artery main and pulmonary artery branch vessels after enhancement between conventional group and low-dose group(P>0.05),but CT values of pulmonary vein vessels after enhancement in low-dose group were lower than those in conventional group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in image quality between conventional group and small dose group(P>0.05).The volume CT dose index(CTDIvol),the product of length to dose length(DLP)and the effective dose(ED)values of the low-dose group were lower than those of the conventional group(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of 128-slice spiral CT low-dose contrast agent pulmonary artery CTA in the diagnosis of PE can not only ensure the same image quality as the conventional dose, but also reduce the radiation dose, which is worthy of clinical popularization.
