Objective To explore the clinical value of ultrasound shear wave elastography parameters in evaluating the degree of cirrhosis in patients with viral hepatitis. Methods A total of 135 patients with viral hepatitis who were treated in Zibo City Infectious Disease Hospital from March 2022 to February 2023 were selected.Ultrasound shear wave elastography technology was used for diagnosis and the parameters were collected.According to the Child Pugh classification, liver cirrhosis patients were divided into A-B grade 92 cases and C grade 43 cases. The ultrasound shear wave elastography parameters of the two groups were compared, and their clinical value in evaluating the degree of liver cirrhosis in viral hepatitis patients was analyzed. Results The elastic modulus and shear wave velocity of hepatitis patients with Child-Pugh grade C were higher than those with Child-Pugh grade A-B(P<0.05).The elastic modulus and shear velocity of ultrasonic shear wave elastic imaging parameters were correlated with the degree of liver cirrhosis of viral hepatitis(P<0.05).The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of ultrasonic shear wave elastic modulus and shear wave velocity in evaluating the degree of cirrhosis in patients with viral hepatitis were 0.870 and 0.865,respectively,which had certain diagnostic value. Conclusion The parameters of ultrasound shear wave elastography have high clinical diagnostic value in evaluating the degree of liver cirrhosis in patients with viral hepatitis, especially the elastic modulus and shear wave velocity, which show good correlation and diagnostic accuracy in evaluating the degree of liver cirrhosis, providing a reliable diagnostic tool and reference basis for clinical practice.
