Papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) is the most common histological type of thyroid cancer,and its incidence has been increasing annually in recent years. Cervical lymph node metastasis in PTC is a significant risk factor for disease recurrence and is also an important indicator for preoperative prognosis assessment and selection of surgical approach and extent. Accurate preoperative assessment of cervical lymph node metastasis in PTC holds significant clinical value. Traditional imaging methods have certain limitations in the preoperative assessment of cervical lymph node metastasis. With the emergence and development of radiomics,new directions have been provided for evaluating cervical lymph node metastasis in PTC. This article reviews the advancements in the application of CT radiomics in assessing cervical lymph node metastasis in PTC.
