Research on Parameterized Modeling for Simulation and Optimization Design of Freeze Dryer Condenser Structure
The freeze dryer is divided into a chamber(commonly known as the front box)and a condenser(commonly known as the back box),and the ice capture efficiency of the condenser directly affects the overall performance of the freeze dryer.In order to enhance the competitiveness of the equipment,this article conducts CFD simulation on the uniformity of air flow velocity(UI-V)in the condenser based on StarCCM+,and optimizes the design according to the results.Taking airflow uniformity as the design objective,three design schemes are adopted for parameterized modeling,and the optimal solution is iterated using batch operation mode.Through 210 rounds of iterative optimization,the optimal structural design scheme for the condenser was finally obtained,with UI-V increasing from 0.65 to 0.79,an increase of about 22%.The combination of CFD simulation and parametric modeling provides a more efficient and cost-effective way for device design during iterative optimization,to meet the growing demand for freeze dryer in the biopharmaceutical field.
